Andrea, as a manager of one of the best racing teams all over the world. I wanted to ask you about your motivations for managing that league?

First of all thanks for the compliments, at the beginning  of f1 2010 when it came out the first game of Codemasters I had in mind with a friend to organize a team compact,  not necessarily large but organized, dynamic that could play and have fun but also be competitive. That was the intention and still is today.

You are the team leader of the Italian NationsLeague Team and you won the competition. What are the secrets for such a strong italian team?

Well I don’t think there is a secret but but it’s normal when the average level of the pilots is good. How each group, there are drivers faster than others but in our team there are not great difference between the best drivers and the others; also them are very consistent. Surely Kimi gave a big hand to the team in the Nations League 2012 always getting a podium after the first race but the contribution of  Themsc, Eagles and Sutil was crucial. I knew I could count on them like others of the group. Obviously you have to dedicate time, of course.

What are your long-term targets?

Recently we moved on f1italianteam.com and we have so many things to do to make the website more simple but with more content. The new game Codemasters seems to bring something new with the cars and the tracks of the past and this can only give us an extra boost in organizing new things within the group. About the competition we hope to repeat in Nations League but will not easy because there are a lot of good new teams, this is a motivations to improve. I hope we will organize several friendly with other groups across Europe and beyond if possible.

How old are you and what is your profession?

I am 34 years old and I am a lawyer

How many time do you spend for your team?

I am almost always available when I’m at home and away now thanks to the technology of smartphones and tablets that are with me. As I can I connect from my phone.

Do you also race in some events?

I decided for the moment not to make race; I prefer organize the team and the website with other friends but keep also the time for myself and my work.

What are the future prospects for these racing games from your view?

I do not know we, like group, spent a lot of time for the game of Codemasters since F1 2010. I believe that the search for the simulation is fine but but if we take too seriously at the end is not good for a group, after all the real drivers are other not us. There are many interesting simulation games but the game Codemaster at the moment for us is the right way between immediacy, fun and competition.

Tell is about your dreams about this racing community.

The thing that I observed from the beginning of this community is the organization. For me the first thing within a community is the organization, no matter the number of people. If one make a good job, the results will come. F1setupblog is the reference site for the organization of race online with drivers of different nations. Great ideas, clear rules are key to the success of this community. I hope that all groups that are part of this community contribute to your work with presence and availability.

Are there other points, you want to tell us?

I just would like to thank the group of which I am a member since 2010. I thank them from first to last, the interview is to me but it is as if it had been done to them. I thank them for the attachment to the group; before you asked me the motivation to move forward in the group. They are the motivation, between us there is a relationship that goes beyond the game. I thank you also, Gerd, for the courtesy and helpfulness you always shown to me and the group. Finally I thank the other guys of the staff, I’m just more visible then them: Massimo in particular, Roberto, Michele, Marco and Max. Thank you friends.

Thanks to a great person & friend

Bone…
